If you are looking for a new wheel set for your Jimny, you would be looking for 5×139.7 PCD rims.
If you are looking for a new wheel set for your Jimny, you would be looking for 5×139.7 PCD rims. This has been unchanged for ages and is the standard on the older Jimny model, so the older model’s rims will fit the new model.
It is worth noting that the new Jimny has wider spec wheels as the new Jimny is a lot wider than its predecessor. This is a good thing for tyre size as you can run much larger tyres on the standard rims.
When it comes to tyres, this is a hotly debated subject and would depend on your driving conditions. We currently run 235/75s on the Jimny, which is the biggest size you can fit without issue. (I can see 30” on the mod list in the future.) There is a few downsides to running much bigger tyres, these include the fuel economy and the lack of power.
The most common aftermarket wheel size is 215/75, these are still a lot bigger than the terrible standard 195/80s. Out of all the modifications so far this would be the one, I would recommend first, the handling is drastically improved on and off-road.
We will be upgrading to steelies and running our 235/75 wheels, it is just difficult to find the correct size rims for the Jimny. We will be going with A-LINE Trailduster White 8246 (Steel) and spraying them black before installing, you can find the trailduster rims on Errol’s Tyres.
