Warranty & Fitment Policy

Last updated: August 2025

At Peach Overlanding, our gear is built for real use. Because overlanding and 4×4 driving are demanding by nature, our warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Damage from use, wear, accidents, or incorrect fitment isn’t a manufacturing defect.

Important: This policy operates alongside your rights under South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Nothing here limits those rights.

What’s Covered (Manufacturing Defects Only)

For 6 months from delivery (unless a longer period is stated on the product page), we’ll repair, replace, or refund—at our discretion—products that fail due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

Examples of covered defects:

  • Weld failures, cracked castings, or structural faults not caused by impact or overload

  • Incorrect machining/threads, misaligned brackets, wrong bolt patterns

  • Electronics that fail under normal, specified use (not water ingress beyond rating or reverse polarity)

What’s Not Covered

These are not manufacturing defects:

  • Wear & tear/consumables: brake pads, clutch friction discs, ropes, bearings, bushes, coatings, finishes (e.g., powder-coat chips), surface rust

  • Incorrect fitment or setup: improper torque, missing spacers, wrong alignment, incompatible parts, or installations that deviate from instructions

  • Abuse, impact & overloading: trail damage, collisions, winch shock-loading, exceeding rated capacities

  • Environmental damage: corrosion from neglect, chemical exposure, water ingress beyond the stated IP rating

  • Modifications: drilling, grinding, cutting, or altering the product (unless specified)

  • Third-party labour/fitment costs: we don’t cover workshop time, alignment, balancing, or travel

  • Non-Peach branded items: covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty (we’ll help you contact them)

Fitment Guidance

We strongly recommend professional installation—see our Recommended Fitment Centres. Using a professional won’t void or extend the warranty; it simply reduces setup errors. Keep your fitment invoice in case we need to assess an issue.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Email info@peachoverlanding.com with:

  1. Order number and date

  2. Product name/SKU

  3. What happened (clear description and when it occurred)

  4. Photos or short video showing the defect and the installed setup

Don’t dismantle or modify the product before we assess it. We’ll respond within 2 business days with next steps.

Returns & Shipping for Warranty

  • We’ll provide a return authorisation and the correct returns address (please don’t ship to a locker).

  • Use Pudo or The Courier Guy with basic packaging protection.

  • If the claim is approved, we’ll cover reasonable return shipping within South Africa or refund your return cost; we then ship the repaired/replacement item back to you at our cost.

  • If the claim is not approved, you can choose to have the item returned to you (return shipping at your cost).

Remedies

If we confirm a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, we will repair, replace, or refund the product—at our discretion—based on parts availability and practicality. Refunds are credited to the original payment method.

Compatibility & Use

Always check vehicle compatibility (Gen 3 JB43 / Gen 4 JB74 / 5-door) and any wheel/tyre/spacer notes before purchasing. Using products outside their intended purpose or ratings voids the warranty.
