This is the build hub for my Porsche Cayenne 957 GTS V8.
The plan: build a comfortable long-distance overlander that can actually handle trails, tow when needed, and still feel like a weird sporty V8 Porsche on the road.
It’s not a rush build. The goal is to do it properly, fix the old-car stuff first, then go hard on the fun bits (lift, tyres, sliders, recovery, storage).

What’s done so far
- 18” Porsche wheels fitted (replacing 21” setup)
- 285/60 tyres (temporary fitment; scrubs on stock GTS ride height)
- Roof load bar setup mounted direct to roof (rails removed)
- Alu-Cab LT-50 rooftop tent mounted
- EcoFlow power + solar (temporary)
- Front bumper trim cut + fog light relocation (temp)
- Side skirts removed (GTS skirts off for clearance / future sliders)
- Rear trim cut (below sensors)
- Exhaust chopped by rear diff + Powerflow tips
- Valve vacuum line looped (to keep valves happy)
- General mechanical checks + fluids top-up
- Side skirt / panel damage repaired
Known issues / fixes in progress
- Transfer case noise (repair/replacement planned)
- Radio/head unit failure (new head unit purchased; install pending)
- Occasional fuel pressure sensor warning (likely battery-related / stored fault)
- Exhaust drone on long trips (future side-exit + heat shielding planned)
- Parking sensors unreliable (likely coding out later)
