Jimny Boot Build

In optimising Peach’s storage capacity, I revamped the boot setup for a more functional and organized off-road experience. Here’s a straightforward rundown of the modifications:

1. Frontrunner Baseboard Modification 🛠️

  • Power Outlets: Modified the Frontrunner baseboard to include power outlets up front, ensuring convenient access to power for various gadgets.
  • Carpeted Base: Added carpeting to the boot’s base to enhance storage options and provide a more comfortable surface for items.

2. Cupboards and Gullwings: Efficient Storage Solutions 🎵

  • Built-In Cupboards: Integrated cupboards directly into the gullwings for organized storage, making the most of available space.
  • Battery Box Placement: Housed a cut-up National Luna battery box in one gullwing, streamlining accessibility while utilizing space efficiently.

3. Dynamic Changes and Refinements 🔄

  • Adaptive Changes: Removed one gullwing cupboard to optimize space and facilitate easier access, recognizing the need for continuous improvement.
  • Secure Tech System: Introduced a Secure Tech system with tie-down points, ensuring that gear and the fridge remain securely in place during off-road journeys.

4. Weight Conscious and Beer-Focused Philosophy 🍻🔍

  • Prioritizing Weight Reduction: Emphasized keeping weight down to maintain Peach’s agility and responsiveness on the trails.
  • Cold Beers, Warm Memories: A pragmatic approach focusing on simplicity and functionality over unnecessary complexities, ensuring the core goal of keeping beverages cold is achieved.

In summary, Peach’s boot build is a practical fusion of innovation and functionality. Every modification serves a purpose, turning the boot into a mobile fortress ready for any off-road adventure.
