Porsche Cayenne 957, VW Touareg & Audi Q7 Door Sag Shim Kit
957 doors are heavy, and after enough years the hinges start to wear. The door drops slightly, the latch hits the striker instead of lining up with it, and you end up slamming it to get it shut. Sometimes it rattles on top of that. The first-gen Touareg and Q7 share the same platform, and the same problem.
Three shim thicknesses let you dial in the fix. You get a thin, a medium and a thick shim, so you can match how much each door has dropped instead of guessing. Depending on the sag, one kit can often cover two doors.
Fitting is simple, and there’s no cutting, drilling or permanent change. Once it’s done, the door closes the way it did when it was new.
